I channelled my inner Monet this past week with High Discount, who asked me to put my personal twist on two already gorgeous dresses for their Dresstination campaign. I was asked to treat these dresses as a canvas and dress them up or down and accessorise to my heart’s content in order to create my own little masterpiece. The end result was feminine and supreme.
This highly sophisticated dress is both airy and beautiful in the way that is fits - synched in at the waist and flows past the knee, in the most divine way. As soon as I saw this dress I knew that it needed to be worn in a leafy garden setting, where the green and blue in the detail compliment my surroundings. I coupled the dress with an elegant pair of dark shaded sunglasses, with a clean understated frame, allowing the dress to remain an uncontested focal point. The deep hues of green and blue in the print dictated that the shoes be quiet - nude coloured sandals for outside or a dainty pump achieves this look perfectly. To finish the look off I added a bold, oversized bag in a solid colour. The objective being to achieve an effortless, timeless look.
This dress is a pure work of art that pops against my brown skin and I absolutely love it! Because of this I chose dainty accessories – a gold bangle with two marquise cut sapphire stones and rose gold earrings - so as not to distract you from the garment itself. I then added a pair of nude block heels that are both quirky and right on trend. Because the dress is not heavily detailed to the eye, I added a boldly coloured bag in one of the colours featured on the dress, orange, to complete the look.
